18/04/2026: The best experience I have had in a long time. It is a small and very simple store. But the lady cooking all the food was perfect. She adapted the meals to our need to give us a good experience. The food was just delicious. Highly recommend!!

03/06/2026: We spent one night at Hørby Færgekro in a junior suite with a terrace and sea view. We especially loved the unique location right on the water. The view across the fjord to the town opposite is beautiful, and the gentle sound of the water creates a very relaxed and cozy atmosphere. The room was generally pleasant, however, the building is quite noisy. We could clearly hear noises from the neighboring rooms, especially in the bathroom. The bed, described as "queen-size," was smaller than we expected, but quite cozy. Breakfast was decent and offered a good selection of cold cuts and other breakfast items. The restaurant also impressed us. The menu offers a variety of dishes, and the quality of the food was good. It's easy to enjoy a meal there in the evening. Overall, Hørby Færgekro is a good choice for a short stay. The fantastic location right on the fjord more than makes up for any shortcomings. Anyone looking for a comfortable hotel with a nice view can stay here without hesitation. However, don't expect luxury.

27/05/2026: We held our confirmation ceremony there. Everything was in order. The food and wines were excellent and the staff had everything under control. We could completely relax and enjoy the party. It was a lovely day.

15/05/2026: Amazingly nice guys behind the bar. When we arrived at 8:30 PM, we asked what time they closed. The answer was that they probably closed soon, unless of course we spent time in the bar. We did. Started playing the area. Stop now, it was fun, come down and be with them as much as they could. They were open, nice and funny. We left at 1:30 AM and had a party. Thanks for giving our holiday a lift😍❤️

22/05/2026: Absolutely delightful and charming restaurant with delicious food as an American. I had no idea what to expect but ended up with a great smorgasbord sandwich. The fish was fresh fried and delightful way. Everything pickled was extraordinary if you’re in town definitely worth the trip.

16/05/2026: We wanted local food, and we got it. As soon as you step into this restaurant, you're immersed in a very typical local atmosphere. Clearly, there were quite a few Danes. They even mistook us for Danes, speaking to us in the language. We were given Danish menus. We had to insist on being spoken to in English. It was an unusual experience, as we had to translate the menus using Google Translate. We ended up ordering the "surprise" open-faced sandwiches and weren't disappointed. A nice glass of Californian red wine to go with it. Very pleasant.

11/06/2026: During our several-day stay in Esbjerg, we ate here every day. Nice selection and really good food at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

08/06/2026: THE Place to eat THE Burger! If you want to eat absolutely delicious burgers you have to go to Craft Burger at Streetfood Esbjerg. Fresh, juicy and tasty! Thats how Burgers should taste! The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating! Esbjerg and Streetfood are a nice place to visit, so make sure you include a Burger stop over. I do enjoy it every time!

15/06/2026: Fantastic restaurant. You'd be hard pressed to find a more beautiful location. 50 m from the North Sea/West Sea with panoramic views from all over the restaurant. Really good service and fantastic dishes.

09/05/2026: Ordering 4 x the large menu. The good thing is clearly the location and what a view you can get from being there. It is nice and beautiful inside and nice to see the sunset. The service is also just top notch and super nice staff with smiles, humor and yes, it played I don't understand in any way that they have a Michelin star. Super many nice dishes that are actually tasted fine, but I almost want to be nice and just write that at least 50% of the dishes are almost indifferent. It's not new, it's not an explosion of taste in the mouth. Most dishes were very oily and some combinations were almost unpleasant in the mouth. It's always a matter of taste, but for 1500kr per person ONLY for the food, in my opinion it should play MAX, and unfortunately it just doesn't. I think they live on the fact that there is no good food in Lønstrup, and that's what can make them stay afloat. The price set for what you got for the money was completely off, unfortunately - try it yourself if you feel like throwing a good fight after a "maybe" good experience.

06/11/2025: A fantastic little place, The food is just top notch, allergens are taken into account, there are fresh ingredients which can be tasted. The service is fantastic and the place exudes coziness. Totally worth a visit, the prices are extremely reasonable.

04/12/2025: The atmosphere is truly enchanting, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. It’s hard to evaluate the food quality because it was served cold. With the steak, they didn’t even bother to bring the proper knife. We had to wait a very long time for our food, with no appetizers offered while waiting. The service was cold and unfriendly, which makes me want to avoid this place in the future — especially when it was obvious that local guests were being served quickly and with a smile. It’s such a shame that such a beautiful place is ruined by poor service. Even empty glasses that were clearly no longer needed were left on our table.
