01/07/2026: We had a really bad experience and have written to the restaurant afterwards, without any response after 2 weeks - therefore the email is reproduced here - We were 12 for dinner on Saturday and despite all agreements NOTHING was ready - it was so embarrassing!!! I have ordered water in advance for everyone who just had to stand on the tables when we got up from the go-cart, as well as starters - various snacks and fries, as well as all the burgers that could land 5 minutes later. Then there would be time to order individual drinks and everyone would be able to order any desserts etc. before the kitchen closes at 8pm It took about 15 minutes before we had anything to drink - 20 minutes before some fried chicken and fries came and about 45 minutes before the burgers came and then they had missed the 3 of them, so 2 of them waited another 10 minutes and the very last one another 10 minutes, which meant he got his food when everyone else had eaten theirs…..not okay- not at all This is simply so poor of you - I can't be familiar with inviting the staff on a date and then offering them this. There were about 6 other guests besides us the whole evening, so it was definitely not due to the busyness either. Burgers came, but not all of what I had asked for as starters. I am somewhat surprised by the experience, Sallies seemed to be a place that was used to larger parties and much higher pressure on a Saturday. We have to conclude that it is not! The waiters really tried to save the evening, but unfortunately the race was over. I simply don't understand how it could go so wrong for you? Everything in the booking seemed professional and that everything was under control and we just had to sit back and enjoy a nice evening - but then there was NO communication to the place??? At least my table reservation was noted - but it wouldn't have been necessary because it was really empty, which surprises me a bit, but if our experience is the norm then I can actually understand it. Today I've heard about really slow fast food, about staff going to the toilets together and yes, about if we pass by again we can order via WOLT so we have a little bit of a wait.... On site they were welcoming and apologized a lot and gave a card and water etc. as compensation but basically, if it had been without a bill, I would still have preferred that it had gone as planned. I am writing to you because you need the information to look into what is going wrong - this must not happen if you are going to run the restaurant. Is it completely unique and has never happened before or is it not uncommon? Because then some work procedures need to be looked into. I had hoped that the trip on Saturday would be one that the staff talked about with enthusiasm and remembered for the coziness and the good food - but unfortunately they will never forget the experience for completely different reasons and there will be jokes about Saturday in Taastrup for a long time. Fortunately, most people thought the food was ok - however, I thought you should try your Portobello burger again, the way it is prepared is not good. It seemed overcooked, wet and sloppy - not super delicious, but unfortunately - right in the situation it hit home in my overall experience ☹ Furthermore, I thought it was a quite unfortunate situation to put your staff in - especially since it could have easily been avoided yes - it was not a great evening and I had actually expected a reaction after my email. They're probably fine for a drop-in evening - but I wouldn't recommend this place for anything important.

27/07/2026: Their sandwiches are great & lightweight. They have plenty of juices & shake options but the quality varies since they use fresh ingredients.

04/09/2026: The cafe brings a very nice vibe with great design and decoration. The chai latte is tasty. You can either come here for working on your laptop or spending time with friends.

17/08/2026: Spacious, pleasant, and quiet. Good service and generally good quality. Ideal for studying or working. The area by the window and the outdoor terrace have a lo-fi feel.

01/09/2026: We were a couple who had the evening buffet. It looked delicious. The cold vegetables/salads tasted excellent. Very delicious bread. The hot meat dishes lacked character! There was also salmon. It was ok. You really miss the signs on the dishes! You obviously have to be Turkish to know the different dishes. The fruit looked very tired (maybe it had been there since brunch). An employee was kind enough to say that we should wait a bit. Fresh fruit would be delivered immediately. It did, but the manager, who brought it, scraped the contents of the old dish on top of the fresh fruit. Really bad style!

18/08/2026: The ice cream is fairly ordinary, creamy yes, but the basic ingredients are quite processed. Avoid the chocolate, it's rather bland. The service is quick and generous. It has the advantage of being open late.

11/08/2026: One can never be wrong about anything one orders for here. It is my go-to place for quick dessert cravings. Crunchy Churros with chocolate and softy is just too irresistible. Polite staff, prompt service, fresh ingredients. Love this place.

28/05/2026: It's rare to find a gas station so uncompromisingly committed to the concept of culinary time travel. While searching for a late-night novelty drink, I had the remarkable experience of purchasing a product that had passed its best-before date several months ago with admirable nonchalance. What was particularly impressive was the consistency with which this establishment defends its quality philosophy. Instead of being bothered by banal concepts like "food safety" or "customer service," the employee reacted with a mixture of indifference, dismissiveness, and professional rudeness that almost deserves praise. At no point did I get the feeling that energy was being wasted unnecessarily on problem-solving. Even more reassuring, however, was the realization that the other expired products were, of course, allowed to remain on the shelf. Continuity is clearly paramount here. Why change a system that works? In a time when companies constantly talk about innovation, it's almost refreshing to experience a place that stubbornly clings to the food standards of an abandoned highway kiosk from the early 2000s. So, if you've ever wanted to play Russian roulette with food while simultaneously experiencing the emotional warmth of a parking meter, this is the place for you. My regards.

27/05/2026: I bought an item here on May 27, 2026, which turned out to have expired 5 months ago. When I returned to the store an hour later to point out the problem, I unfortunately experienced no understanding or willingness to solve it. The most critical thing was that the remaining expired items were simply left on the shelf and continued to be sold to other customers. Very disappointing service and lack of focus on food safety. Not recommended.

28/06/2026: Once upon a time there was a dream of a bar where anything could happen, but then came Rene's, here you are met with arrogance and injustice, the citizens of the city should be ashamed, greetings John

06/03/2026: Absolutely fantastic, lovely place! The lady behind the bar is incredibly sweet! It's very local and has a really cozy and brilliant atmosphere. I can't wait to come back! AWESOME afternoon😍

18/10/2025: Bought coffee and cake to sit in the café – and got a cardboard cup, plate and cutlery. Asked nicely if you could get real cutlery or a proper cup, and was met with an attitude that almost said: “Okay boomer, relax – we’re doing cardboard here.” Was about to order two teacups, but just asked if there was a deal if you took three. “Yes, that’s 3 for 60.” “So two for 30?” “No, actually 4 for 60.” … Well – I was just going to give 30 for 2?! It felt like discussing mental arithmetic with a piece of cardboard in human form. In addition, there was dirt on the tables and sticky residue around the counter – you could almost feel the bad smiley in the air. And honestly: it seems deserved. … Maybe Lagkagehuset should consider baking a little less – and thinking a little more.

09/08/2025: I'm super happy with the drive-in option - it's easy and fast. The quality is always good

05/08/2026: Really slow and not service minded service. Had to order the same things several times before they went through. It was dirty and had old sushi.

11/07/2026: "Boathouse pork" - a disgusting experience, a sandwich bun with ketchup and large chunks of neck ridge, which was WAY too fat and downright disgusting to fight through even half of it - there were no other side dishes, the 3 cardboard pork skins (it should be mentioned that I am not afraid of fat) will never eat there again 🙄 My husband asked for a beef burger with only ketchup - got the whole thing" despite a very clear opt-out 🙄

11/07/2026: Terrible service. The first thing you hear is that they don't deliver for less than 150, - DKK. When you order for 170, - DKK, they have no employees who can deliver. Not the first time we've had this happen. DROP THEM.

13/06/2026: Durum with mixed meat. Very delicious with fresh salad and chili. Mega big, I couldn't eat it all at once.
