23/09/2025: Review of Restaurant California in Frederikshavn Restaurant California at Lodsgade 4 in Frederikshavn offers an authentic and satisfying burger experience that I highly recommend. I visited while in Skagen for the day and was drawn to the cozy ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the Texas Burger, which came with a warm bun, a 200g beef patty, salsa, jalapenos, cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, and homemade dressing, all served with crispy fries. The flavors were bold, with the jalapenos adding just the right amount of spice, and the homemade dressing tying everything together perfectly. My wife chose the Hollywood Burger, featuring the same delicious 200g beef patty, topped with sautéed mushrooms, onion rings, cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, and the house-made dressing, also accompanied by fries. She loved the richness of the mushrooms and onion rings, which gave the burger a unique, hearty flavor. For our daughter, the Children’s Burger was a hit. A simple, well-sized burger served with fries, it was the perfect portion for her. Restaurant California not only delivered on flavor but also on service. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. 10/11/2025: The food tasted really good, the service is good, the atmosphere is good, good view of the Limfjord and the toilets are clean. Can highly recommend the place.

24/10/2025: Very cosy café with an excellent location placed directly on the harbour front pier. They serve a wide selection of burgers, salads and in the evening many different main dishes too. To drink you can choose between many beers, cocktails, smoothies , juices and sodas. We ordered the 'chicken Katzy burger' and the 'Smokey BBQ burger, both tasting excellent. The prices are a little bit high. The atmosphere is great but keep in mind you only have a 2 hour window for enjoying everything. I recommend this cafe primarely for the view and atmosphere.

16/12/2025: Ordered Christmas Latte twice, must say that what we got was an incredibly thin cup of sugar water. I mentioned it to the saleswoman, but she just didn't care!

24/10/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really good coffee at Espresso House in Friis! Their Americano was just sitting in the cupboard, and the cardamom swirl was super delicious. The smoothie was also fresh and good. Cozy and calm atmosphere – a nice place to sit and relax. We will definitely be back 😊

30/11/2025: This has been one of my favorite cafes for several years, but it's over now. Because WHAT is the point of a code on the door to the toilet? That you have to stand in a queue that is at least 10 minutes long and ask for a code to a toilet door. It's absolutely ridiculous! I can understand from the staff that it's because they don't want people from outside to use the toilet. That attitude is both hopelessly old-fashioned and completely Unsympathetic. We are in North Jutland!!!

14/10/2025: buy some cocoa powder, mix it with milk and 1L small ice cubes for the same taste experience of a “Chocolate Frapino”
