26/04/2026: Went to a confirmation party here and it was fantastic. Really good food, helpful service and a nice atmosphere. Will definitely come back

04/04/2026: Really delicious small dishes for lunch. For the small hunger, 2 dishes were enough.

29/09/2025: Good café with absolutely reasonable prices. Sale of various things. Update summer 2024... Brunch has been discontinued, but the breakfast plate is absolutely delicious too. Their panini is also extremely tasty. Once again we had a delicious brunch.

08/08/2025: The coffee is too expensive 30 kr for a small cup. But a lovely shop with a good atmosphere and they make sure that the dogs that are in the café are served cold water. AND there is a plastic bucket for leftover food that you can put down for the dogs. Nice things for sale in the shop... nice to sit here and have grandma on guard.

27/04/2026: We had purchased an overnight stay with 3-course meal and breakfast through Risskov Bilrejser. The hotel is nice and clean and has a lovely location close to the water at Sønderborg Castle. The staff were friendly. The room was nicely decorated. The bed was far too hard with a too thin top mattress. The cold water in the bathroom was lukewarm. The dinner was ok, but by no means gourmet. The meat was not tender. The breakfast was ok, but not of a standard that is comparable to other similar hotels at the same price level. Neither in terms of selection nor quality.

11/03/2026: Lovely hotel with a super good location by both the beach and town. The food was really good and it came incredibly quickly, even though there were many guests. Very friendly staff both morning and evening.

06/04/2026: A nice place to go and just relax for a few days. Good service, nice evening menus....If I could have one wish, it would have been nice to have a slightly more varied breakfast. A little more cold cuts than 1 type of slice of cheese and ham. Maybe some sausage rolls, bacon, or brie. But that may be it, next time. Thanks for an otherwise good stay.

10/12/2025: I wasn't there in person But I've heard it's supposed to be a really good place to buy bread and cakes I was there in the courtyard right behind the store It's called Frøkær Papier og Vin There I got really friendly and smiling service and the staff was quick to find the ballpoint pens I was looking for and the large 70 by 100 cm cardboard they have is both strong and very smooth.

17/10/2025: 08.10.2025 My girlfriend and me who come from England were stopping overnight in Tønder at the nearby Motel near the main train station for 1 night having travelled from Hamburg, and we were heading to Copenhagen the next day. So I had already reserved a table for dinner at this wonderful little boutique hotel. When we arrived the 3 young ladies working kindly welcomed us and all spoke very good English as we cannot speak Danish. We were early for the booking and they did offer for us to be seated immediately which was nice of them, but we insisted on having a pre-drink in their nice bar. I had a Steak Tartare while my girlfriend ate a Pork Cheek dish. Then for dessert I chose the Lemon Mousse while the Cheese & Biscuit platter was also chosen. All dishes were beautifully presented on their plates and were very flavoursome. Yes this may cost a little more than most average priced restaurants, but we got good quality for our money at least. Which is why I highly recommend this place for all kinds of guests, even travelling tourists like we were on the above date when we actually visited. And if I had more money on me I probably could've chosen to stay here, but the Motel suited me on this occasion because of our needs to use the local trains for our travels.

29/09/2025: We are so happy to visit Hostrups Hotel that we have been here in all seasons and enjoyed it every time. A very welcoming welcome means a lot to us - we get it. We have stayed in rooms in the main building and side wing and have been extremely satisfied: quiet and comfortable decor and really good beds. The food is always innovative, looks inviting and is tasty. A walk around the streets of Tønder and a visit to a nearby small German town are part of our stay, after which it is nice to come 'home' to Hostrups Hotel and rest our legs before dinner and a drink.

10/11/2025: Good burgers, nice service and cozy place - a nice little salad with the burger instead of fries would have given it 5 stars.

05/11/2025: Super cozy place with a really good atmosphere. Really delicious food for really little money. Was out with my family and everything was as it should be.
