01/06/2026: I treated myself to a dürüm last night; there has never been so much lettuce in any salad, but only now. Almost no meat, almost no sauce, just lettuce and cucumbers – terrible.

25/05/2026: We have had an annual trip to Munkebjerg Hotel for several years, but this year's stay was unfortunately a significantly worse experience than expected. The hotel is still in beautiful surroundings, and the food was excellent. However, the overall experience did not live up to four stars in any way. During our stay, access conditions were difficult, as the direct path to the table area was closed. This meant that we had to walk unnecessarily far to get in and out and back and forth to the toilet. It seemed as if the comfort of the guests had been given lower priority in favor of the hotel's own ambitions. As a family with children, we did not feel particularly welcome either. The pool was closed to children between 11:00 and 16:30, which is difficult to understand at a hotel where families also come for vacation. Children need activity during the day and peace in the evening. This prioritization makes it difficult to call the place family-friendly. In addition, the spa area was disappointing and far from anything that enhanced the experience. The most serious thing, however, was that an iPad was left in the room. When we contacted the hotel afterwards, we were informed that it had not been found or returned. It leaves a very bad impression when an item left in the room apparently disappears without explanation. Overall, this was an unusually disappointing experience. Munkebjerg Hotel does not appear to be a four-star family hotel based on our stay. Two stars would unfortunately be a more appropriate assessment of the experience we had. Disappointing and quite frankly not up to par.

04/08/2026: Kaffehuset Fanø is a great place to take a break while exploring the island. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, and you feel welcome as soon as you step inside. It exudes quality and local charm. The coffee is really good, whether you're after a classic espresso, cappuccino or a large cup of filter coffee, and the selection of homemade cakes and light lunch dishes makes it hard to settle for just one thing. The service is smiling, welcoming and happy to help with recommendations. There is both cozy seating inside and the opportunity to enjoy your coffee outside when the weather is nice. A perfect place to recharge after a walk on the beach or a stroll through Nordby's cozy streets. A place that definitely deserves a visit if you like good coffee, delicious cakes and a relaxed café atmosphere. I'd love to come back.

08/03/2026: Business trip. All good, one day I had a steak witch was a bit full of lumps of fat, not great. Rest off meals was perfekt. Werry polite service and staff.

15/08/2026: The fish was well fried, but the parsley sauce tasted of absolutely nothing and you had to look for the parsley for a long time. It had the appearance of being a base sauce from a bucket, a bit of a shame considering the price.

18/08/2026: In relation to what the place / prices express, we were a little disappointed. I ordered the Parisian steak where the ingredients were good with the steak being hot, but the rest was ice cold, the same with my son's topless burger. There was a party behind us that seemed to get a lot of attention. Don't think we'll come again, as there are many on offer in that price segment.

01/08/2026: Full plate on the stars.👌 It's a fantastic place, the food is made with primarily local ingredients according to the season, which results in super delicious food that plays perfectly with the cozy restaurant and top service.🤩

05/12/2025: Had Christmas lunch here and it's a nice place, but the Christmas buffet could be better.
