30/06/2026: The french fries are wonderful! Huge portion, great seasoning, just great! The cheeseburger is also great and the prices are reasonable for being directly at the harbour. 20€ for a good (not small) cheeseburger in a menu.

11/05/2026: 329,- for a three-course meal is cheap and it tastes okay, but it is not gourmet food. The pancake batter is the same whether it is a starter, main course or dessert. The ingredients taste like they were bought as cheaply as possible and there is no wow experience. The dessert was the best, it also tasted like a pancake with two large ice cream scoops in it, as if it was ordered in a car cafe, where you can't get it, though.

19/08/2025: We stumbled upon “Café Apropos” on the evening of the 18th — the grand finale of our 8-day Danish road trip. And I do mean stumbled: it was 9:30 PM, we were running late, and desperately hunting for something to feed the kid. The place looked stylish and vaguely Parisian, so we thought, “Why not?” Well… the confusion began with the menu and only got worse from there. If this was meant to be a Parisian bistro, someone forgot to tell the kitchen. The kids’ chicken? Marinated in a spicy sauce — because nothing says “child-friendly” like a surprise kick of heat. Once we realized that, we swapped it for a delightfully thin hamburger tucked inside a hollow bun. Gourmet minimalism, perhaps? Meanwhile, the “tapas plate” featured jalapeños, tortilla sauce, and a few mystery items that defied identification. And the “Parisian steak”? Oh dear. It was a dry hamburger (dear “chef,” ever heard of beef fillet?) perched on a slice of yesterday’s bread, surrounded by random vegetables that added nothing but confusion — and later, stomach drama I won’t detail here out of mercy. The one bright spot? Our waitress. Cheerful, friendly, and just as baffled as we were when the kitchen insisted, “Yes, the baby chicken is marinated in spicy sauce — but just a little spicy!” Final verdict: charming decor, baffling food, and a culinary identity crisis (yes, including pasta with chicken). Proceed with caution — or better yet, don’t.

09/06/2026: We recently had brunch, and it was actually only worth 1 star. However, I have been there before in other contexts where it has been excellent, even 3 stars. Our brunch was poor, they did not have everything that was on the menu in our overall brunch offer, and we did not receive any compensation for what was missing. Their fresh fruit for 25 kr. was 1 small slice of overripe watermelon. Muesli buns that were hard and almost inedible - what I would call fermented amateur bread. There was nothing for children. The waitress actually said she could not offer anything to a 7 year old child. I suggested if they did not have a bread with some salami, and of course they did, after which we had it completely sauced with olives and olive oil. While she served us, she interrupted and shouted to someone else in the restaurant, very strange service. An unpleasant experience. So avoid brunch at picolo!

29/04/2026: Brought home two cocoa-coconut slices that must have been sitting in the sun in the window for several days. Crispy and with a suspicious taste. Hardly worthy of the organic waste bin.
