23/07/2026: We weren't on the campsite, but at the front in the motorhome area. The only utility was electricity, but it was cheap at 120 kroner.

14/08/2026: Excellent restaurant, magnificent service, friendly service, and reasonable prices in an elegant, quiet setting. We escaped the super-touristy restaurants in Billund and found this gem. They're very kid-friendly. Worth the fifteen-minute drive!

09/09/2026: Restaurant Marsvinet looks like a wonderful place to enjoy authentic Danish home-style cooking. The menu features an appealing selection of fresh fish and seafood, classic smørrebrød, warm smoked salmon and the popular Stjerneskud with fried and steamed fish, smoked salmon, asparagus and prawns. Traditional dishes such as Wiener schnitzel and pan-fried plaice also sound delicious. The focus on local ingredients and honest homemade food gives the restaurant a warm and authentic character, making it a lovely choice for a relaxed Danish meal.

01/07/2026: Very nice stay in a convenient location. Small but nice rooms, a bit dated but also a cozy style and clean. We were there during a heat wave, but had some windows open and it was all good. No AC, but in the end didn’t need it.

06/08/2026: I visited the restaurant today and ordered an appetizer and a main course. Fresh ingredients, well-cooked. I really enjoyed it. The quality is evident, the service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I highly recommend it.

30/07/2026: Unfortunately I only have the opportunity to review the service, as I didn't get any food, let alone the atmosphere Had the boring experience of first asking the one girl at the table if there is room for one? She just says a moment and then goes over and receives payment from someone. Then another girl approaches two young guys standing BEHIND me and is informed that a table will be available soon. I am persistently told that there is no room....they would clearly rather have the two young men in (I am 59)...what a bad experience! Torben, guest from Esbjerg

11/05/2026: In Ribe, dogs are not allowed inside most restaurants. You are then required to sit outside. Not appealing at 13 degrees, so we moved on. At this lovely restaurant, however, dogs are welcome. The first thing they did was place a bowl of water. The food at this restaurant is good at a reasonable price. Prompt and friendly service.

07/05/2026: Great steak ! Really interesting decor. The walls are decorated with photos from Jacob Riis time in New York. The waiter was happy to take the time to tell us about who Jocob Riis was and to give us the back story on the photos.

08/07/2026: Been here so many times, with friends, with colleagues, both winter and summer times. Tapas used to be good, and my first Alhambra was here.

30/05/2026: Really disappointing. Large tapas menu was really disappointing. Very long wait between the cold and the hot. Long time between drinks being served to the first at the table and the rest of the table due to poor coordination between Vinbar No 14 and Conrads. Really a shame. Have had really good tapas there before and the setting is as always really good both inside and out.

21/08/2026: Had a lovely main course, monkfish, which I have never had before. It was a good experience, but the portion was a bit small for the price. We sat outside in the lovely courtyard.

08/08/2026: The fish was cold and raw inside, and when it came the second time, the piece had been halved and the garnish was gone. The steak was also raw inside, and when it came the second time, they still couldn't get it medium done, and it wasn't tender. Very bad experience, will never come again.

10/07/2026: I stayed at Hotel Svanen with my man for 4 nights on July (6.7.-10.7.). The room we had was room 22 and it was supplied with all the needed items (a hairdryer, two trash cans, a TV, a comfy sofa etc). The breakfast buffet was good as well, I particularly liked that we were able to make our own mini waffles with a waffle iron. However our hotel rooms shower/bathroom was a big disappointment. The bathroom had a moldy wet smell and we spotted 4 fly-like insects, possibly drain flies? Some items in the bathroom had something that might have been mold (picture 2: lock on the door, and picture 3: instruction paper). We made sure to keep the door closed as much as possible because of the smell and the flies. This was an inconvenience and it was not a pleasant place to take showers. The location of the hotel was perfect and the hotel staff was very friendly to us. We did make a reservation online to the hotels own restaurant (Restaurant No 8) a day before our reservation. The restaurant was offering adults and childrens buffets and a la carte menu. Upon arrival to the restaurant we saw a sign informing us that buffet for adults was not available that day because of some kind of a private event. It would have been nice to know this before arriving to the restaurant because we had been planning to eat the buffet food. We ended up canceling the dinner reservation and went elsewhere.

04/07/2026: A nice hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. This is a good place to stay when visiting Billund for Lego as it is a short walk from both the Lego house and Legoland.

09/09/2026: Great pizza. Very eager service, coming every few minutes to take orders. Unnecessary on an evening when there were few guests.

01/09/2026: The pizza was good, but we had to wait a very long time.

23/03/2026: The experience of all time. It was a concert with keinstein that raised the roof.
