09/11/2025: 2 day course stay. Beautiful conference room, dinner served in cozy surroundings. The "rest" of the hotel has the feel of a conference center.

08/11/2025: There was something sticky on the wall in the bathroom. I think the cleaning staff is not instructed to clean the wall and therefore they do not take ownership. Classic problem with cleaning... Anyway, the rest of the room I had was OK, plenty of space. My overnight stay included breakfast and the street breakfast is expensive. Food in the prices was a little sharp (schnapps or similar) I have almost never seen that before, at least not in Denmark and not at hotels in this price segment. If you value a good breakfast, then I would choose this hotel over anything else within 50km. It was a really good experience. The breakfast moves the overall experience up to 5 stars. The fact that there is a Tesla supercharger makes charging a breeze and in the nearby town of Middelfart, I ate quite an excellent Thai dish for dinner. Middelfart is also cozy and has a nice harbor with some special architecture on the harbor front. All in all, a good experience.

12/07/2026: The atmosphere is always great, no matter if it's busy or not. The service is also nothing to complain about👍🏼. And the food is actually excellent too, sometimes they could use a little extra topping on the pizzas, but otherwise there's nothing to complain about😎😁

21/08/2026: It's just like that. A few houses, it looks like any open-air museum. The only thing that was cool was the bird show.

23/07/2026: Ordered a cheeseburger deluxe with bacon. Very small piece of bacon and the rest was mashed up, so the burger was just as flat as the hamburger that was also ordered.

16/08/2026: Pandekagehuset in Jelling is apparently the place to go if you want an ice cream that is so impressive that it requires both an extended field of vision and a solid portion of dedication. We stopped by and were immediately greeted by a queue that snaked like an eager snake, and it wasn't hard to understand why; the sight of the happy guests leaving the place with ice cream monuments of almost unimaginable dimensions testified that no expense is spared here. Unfortunately, we had to admit that our planned lunch at home put a natural end to an ice cream expedition of that caliber, but the flow of satisfied people with giant ice cream creations in their hands alone is ample proof that Pandekagehuset is a must-visit. It looks damn tempting, so we will definitely return next time – and this time we will make sure to come on an empty stomach so that we can really throw ourselves at their impressive selection.

10/08/2026: Bendixens Fiskehandel is definitely worth a visit. You can get most fish and good homemade fish salads. The prices are ok. Note that the store also has a smaller fish grill shop that is open when the store selling fish is closed. A portion of Fish and Chips costs around the price is approx. 100 kr. I myself use Bendixens Fiskehandel a lot when I want to serve lunch with a number of small fish dishes. Guests usually ask with interest where they can buy the tasty fish themselves(?) In Svendborg the answer is always - Fish is best bought at Bendixens Fiskehandel!

10/09/2026: A standard McDonald's with the typical "Caution: Slippery Floor" sign and a truly slippery floor due to grease. The burgers were okay, but I've had more flavorful ones at other locations.

02/09/2026: Fill quantity of the McFlurry is a joke by now. The amount of ice cream is barely more than a regular but much cheaper McSundae and when asking the staff it was said that it's company policy. Strange that some restaurants use to fill the cup up and some like to leave it half empty. For that price it's a bad joke, even worse customer experience and our last visit here.

26/06/2026: Absolutely fine baker, but I miss a real tea cake, not the boring ones made in Jutland.

03/04/2026: Good pizzas 🙂🙂🙂 Have bought many. Was unlucky once. It must have had a little too much.😁Black on the bottom. Scraped it off. Don't want to miss out on the very good pizzas from there. Because of that one. It wasn't inedible.
