17/08/2026: Despite the restaurant’s good reputation, our visit turned out to be a major disappointment. We were a party of four celebrating a birthday but the poor service unfortunately ruined the evening. We arrived and started with bruschetta and carpaccio, which tasted good enough, but just needed some salt and pepper. We asked for it, but unfortunately never received it. From there everything completely ground to a halt, and so much time passed before our empty plates were cleared that we thought they had forgotten all about us. Even though there were barely any other guests in the restaurant, we didn't get our main courses until almost an hour later. On the plus side, the lasagna was really delicious and easily the best item on the menu! After the main course we were overlooked again for so long that we eventually gave up and went up to pay. We actually wanted to ask if we could take some dessert to go, but before we even had a chance to speak, the waiter simply turned the card machine toward us without acknowledging us at all. It is such a shame to be met with that level of indifference, and it unfortunately ended up ruining what was supposed to be a nice birthday celebration.

05/08/2026: We visited twice in one day, and unfortunately both experiences were extremely disappointing. In the morning, we stopped in for a coffee and waited to be served, but no one came to our table. After waiting for quite some time, we had to go inside and place our own order. We decided to give the place another chance and returned for dinner. Once again, we were left waiting for over 20 minutes without anyone approaching our table. We watched a staff member take an order from a nearby table, but after finishing, they simply walked away without acknowledging us. We then went inside to ask if we could order, and were told that a colleague would come to our table. We returned to our seats and waited again, but no one ever came. The lack of service and attention to customers is simply unacceptable. We don't mind waiting when staff are busy, but being completely ignored on two separate visits in the same day is very poor customer service. Sadly, we won't be returning.

04/08/2026: Third visit to Mêlée and third flawless evening. Super cozy atmosphere (we sat outside this time), as always really good French food and a wine list full of wines from good winemakers at reasonable prices (considering it's in the middle of Frederiksberg).

21/10/2025: This is a great place to take a group where you may have different tastes and apetites: it's an all-you-can-eat buffet, but don't think your standard Asian-fusion: this is really, really good Danish food. Starters, mains and desserts (including a cheese-board with "two good cheeses") and all-you-can-drink, too: taps for wine (red, white and rosé) and beer (two on tap when we visited), as well as soft drinks. All very decently priced. The staff were great, and food constantly replenished. Toilets clean, too. This is definitely a place I'd come back to, and bring everyone I know with me, should I ever visit Copenhagen again.

17/10/2025: We received a very warm welcome, and even though we didn't have a reservation, we immediately got a great seat for four. The food was delicious. The service was very friendly. There was a good selection of drinks. And the ambiance was very pleasant. Bottom line: definitely recommended!

04/04/2026: Poke bowls are average and like everywhere else too expensive for a simple salad. Wok stir fry is boring and almost without the promised vegetables.

27/07/2026: Worst food I've ever tasted, the pizza bread tastes chewy and like it's been heated in the microwave. The pasta dishes taste like tomato paste mixed with water and the carbonara tastes like old milk. So disappointed after a long day, wasted 600kr, will never order from there again.

19/03/2026: Excellent food, plank steak nice and tasty. Good shrimp. Unfortunately the pizza is very disappointing, here I would say the quality/taste is a bit below the others in the area which are a 4. The atmosphere is the only thing that drags you down, it is a bit boring and old-fashioned.

02/08/2026: Cozy bar with a positive atmosphere and friendly bartenders Overall a really nice place (although it lacked some music or something as it seemed very dead without it)

18/08/2026: You don't feel particularly welcome here if you just want coffee and cake. The "Chocolate biscuit cake with almonds" is only available if you've ordered one of the main courses beforehand. The espresso was from a Nespresso capsule. A group's bill cannot be split; this is clearly stated on the menu. There's a smell of rotten seaweed coming from the harbor. The coconut cookie was good, though.

09/08/2026: The food was very underwhelming. And make sure to not get the potatoes, they are expensive and taste like they come from a can.

25/08/2026: Have been there before. This time we had a deal/special. Before and now prices should be taken with a grain of salt...you get 10 servings and if you order 10 dishes from the menu the quantity would correspond to what we were served for 2 people. But if we add up the prices it corresponds to the offer we paid for 2. So really no savings. We also ordered a bottle of wine and tap water..tap water for 2 totaling 140 kr. When I mentioned that I had never paid that for water before. (It is also not clear from the menu what tap water costs.) I was told by the waiter that it was because I had a deal/special. Said that I was surprised and then the owner came, I think it is, and said that it was of course a mistake and was given 100 kr in my hand. Is a nice place, but will not come again after this experience.

08/08/2026: Was there on a deal. Everything was fine, but nothing was wow. The waitress said we just had to ask if we wanted more bread. She forgot to say it would cost extra though..

11/03/2026: This collab friendly brewery often has something interesting on the board I suspect. Nice taproom for a swift half or the occasional beer flight.

05/09/2026: Never have I had such a bad experience dining at a restaurant if I could give 0 stars, I would. Service was really bad from the start, with no greeting, and we had to ask for a table for four. There was no smiling whatsoever they just gave us our menus and left. Then, once we ordered, she was so unclear when asking us questions and talking to us, she was mumbling and then just left. She also asked us to pay for our bill before we got anything because she had to “leave soon” (update: my friend also wrote a review and was told that it was because people leave without paying, if so then they should say that instead of lying and saying they have to leave soon. This is not okay 😡) and we went past the restaurant again while walking and saw that she was still working. I also found hair on my fork and was served a dirty glass. And when I pointed it out, they didn’t apologise or anything they just walked off with the fork and got a new one. The other one I got also had spots of calcium, so it was not polished well. And after I mentioned the dirty fork, I was being given weird looks by the waitresses when they walked past. They also had four waitresses on shift, and none of them went to take the food once it was done (we could see through the windows that the food was ready) we still had to wait another 10 minutes to get the food. They took over 15 minutes to bring out our drinks, and we noticed other customers also left with a full plate (they barely ate from their plate). Never had such a horrible time at a restaurant . If you read this, don’t go here. And after mentioning all this i feel like they should’ve offered a refund on our food.

05/09/2026: Absolutely shit. I don’t think i have ever experienced such rude and slow service in my life. At first glance it might seem like a cozy place but do not go there. We had HAIR in our food. RAW FISH. and dirty silverware. We told the waitresses everything which they responded: Oh ok. And left. NO REFUND whatsoever. We had to pay IN ADVANCE. The mojiots were way too strong and the soda glass had Sirup stains on it. No apologise what so ever. Other guests left the food just standing because it was so bad. NEVER EVER AGAIN. The owner should be ashamed of himself. FIRE the staff.
