07/07/2026: We ate red curry with chicken, amazingly good ❤️

13/06/2026: Was invited. We were 4 adults and 2 children. The food was really good. The service was a bit slow, the first 3 got the main course after a good amount of time then got 1 more, the last 2 got theirs a little later. The starter and dessert came together for everyone.

11/07/2026: I would happily return to Hotel Royal in the fall, winter, or spring. The building is charming (the glass-domed restaurant off the the spiral stair case is a dream), and the staff is warm and attentive. Caveat: air conditioning is not as advertised. The room we paid a premium for had a non-functional unit, and when we went to the desk to report the issue, we had to wait behind guests there to discuss their own malfunctioning A/C. We were offered a credit, but the night of sleep was mostly a loss. It wasn’t an ideal experience, but enough was great that the next time we’re in Århus during a season when the probable high is 20° or less, look for us at the Hotel Royal.

12/09/2026: The food was fantastic, however not having physical menus was really unexpected and frankly felt quite cheap. I was with my elderly grandmother who obviously needed quite an extensive explanation on how to look at it and though a small thing, genuinely took away from the experience.

26/06/2026: We hadn't been to Brasserie Belli since the time when guests were allowed to smoke inside, and the experience that time hadn't been so good either, so we had to try it again. It was a warm evening, and we had booked a table that turned out to be the second last before the kitchen in an empty restaurant inside. We didn't want that because of the heat and the smell of food, but fortunately there was space outside (although without a table). We both had tartar for a starter, and it tasted fine. We also had good homemade bread with it. Because of the heat, I chose their excellent and simple burger, as the other dishes seemed 'heavy' for the season. The other person in the party had the veal breast, which was tasty. We both had excellent wine by the glass with our food. The staff was very attentive to both dishes and breaks.

08/08/2026: Dessert cafe is perhaps too strict. It's only delicious ice cream in a cup or waffle that you can eat.😁 But a cozy place where you can eat ice cream with good taste.

30/07/2026: We came by a little late on a weekday evening, but there was still a large selection of ice cream and very friendly staff. The ice cream was good and the cafe was really cozy.

31/05/2026: Jonas was the best host I have ever met at a bar. He was friendly and welcoming and provided a really good experience. He was the reason the bar was so good.

05/07/2026: A wonderful pub with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, located right by the lake with a beautiful view. The staff are always friendly, smiling, and very polite. They offer a great selection of beers and tasty snacks. Every time I visit, I feel right at home—it’s the kind of place where you can truly relax and enjoy yourself. I highly recommend Smedien Øl- og Vinstue to anyone looking for a great pub experience!

15/04/2026: Really liked the Food and the ambience. Also the service was nice and friendly. For me as a foreigner it seemed like authentic danish food, would go there definitely if I visit again.
