17/05/2026: I love the spot! Amazing sweet young people, great service! Fantastic FlatWhite and BMO! And when the sun is out…. Wow!

08/06/2026: We came to have dinner and enjoy the sun in the meantime. The place is popular, so expect a wait if you want a table outside on a sunny day. For starters we had polenta fritters and small bites with raw marinated tuna, it tasted fine. The tapas plate was also ok, but nothing special.. The wine from especially Sardinia tasted great. I recommend the place, especially its location on a beautiful sunny day.

11/04/2026: Delicious food and friendly service. We had a 4 course menu. We could have used more rice. We were offered that when we finished eating. Would have appreciated being informed of the option at the start of the meal. The food was delicious and adapted to Danish taste buds. Reasonable prices. The service was friendly throughout.

02/05/2026: We ordered for a party and I haven't tasted it yet, just reporting the level of service that was beyond friendly and professional. There was a mistake in our order, and one of the requested flavors was not made that day - that's what can happen. We would have been extremely happy with another flavor, but the store will give us an ice box as an exemption. Very sweet of them. Communication when ordering and service in the store was sweet, professional, and polite - even though the store was very busy. Well-deserved praise. Hope the ice cream tastes the same.

14/10/2025: It's a place I can highly recommend, because you get really good service and the food is also really good. You just need the warmth, otherwise it's like being in Greece. Cozy rooms, you get an atmosphere from Greece.

04/05/2026: What a gem! We had the most delicious dinner and truly delightful experience. We had the lobster tacos to start followed by the grilled organic chicken from Gothenborg, with loke danish cheese, glazed carrot & carrot sauce and also the grilled miso glazed white fish with cavolo nero, and pickled rhubarb. We ordered the pommes frites with cheese & white garlic mayo to accompany our dishes and everything was outstanding. Our server Stine was knowledgeable, friendly and so very kind. She recommended the Greek white wine for my husband and the Nebbiolo red for me and both were perfect with our dishes. We ended our meal with a delicious shared dessert of a traditional Danish dish I can’t remember the name of. It had a cookie on the bottom and was covered with a cream, egg yolk custard with raspberry sorbet . It was the perfect finish. Cannot recommend this lovely little restaurant enough! It’s very small so reservations are a good idea. Worth every penny!

01/04/2026: Had a quick dinner and ordered a pork dish. It was ok but the sauce was completely watery in its consistency and when you have to eat it form a bowl with a fork it was extremely annoying to get anything out of the bowl. It was more like a soup with very large pieces of meat. The taste was good without being great. The sour berries would have suited a fatty and sweet sauce.

23/12/2025: Good ingredients in a cozy backyard. Breakfast, lunch and dinner – all top notch! Aarhus secret.

18/12/2025: My friends and I (with our babies) visited this café for the first time. The place is very charming, especially the outdoor lights and decorations. Unfortunately, everything on the menu was overpriced (35 kr for a single cookie?!), and the service was very slow. The staff said they were too busy inside, even though the café was not full. We were asked to go inside to place our order and even to bring our own cups to be refilled with coffee. Despite this, one of my friends was still asked to leave her table and come inside while she was with her 8-month-old baby, which was very inconvenient. If this is a self-service café (which it wasn’t) it should be clearly stated. Overall, even though i liked the atmosphere, it was a disappointment.

29/03/2026: Probably the worst food in town, damn it

07/03/2026: I stopped by Al Sultan for lunch during my trip to Bazaar Vest and left very impressed. The meal started with a large flatbread served with hummus. The bread itself was soft and pleasant, although if it had been served warm it would have been absolutely perfect. The hummus was creamy and flavourful, making it a great way to start the meal. For the main course, I had the chicken and kebab skewers, and this is where the place really shines. The chicken was incredibly well seasoned, with the char exactly how it should be. You could clearly taste that it had been cooked over coal, which gave it a wonderful smoky depth without overpowering the rest of the flavours. The kebab skewer was equally satisfying, juicy and nicely spiced. The charred onion and pepper on the plate were also very welcome additions, adding both sweetness and a bit more of smokiness to the dish. Finally, the rice! It for sure deserves a special mention as well. It was super light and fluffy, the kind of rice that makes you wonder why it never turns out quite like that at home. Overall, a very satisfying and generous meal with great flavours throughout. Definitely a place I would happily come back to. P.S.: the restaurant is inside the Bazaar Vest building, not where it is marked on google maps.

17/09/2025: Store: Large selection, low prices, slightly annoying “snake-shaped” layout (so you are on a somewhat forced tour around the entire store) and excellent service from 4 staff members including - and especially Luna? Lina? (You know who you are), who said I was welcome to go the “wrong” way around, - thanks for that too
